InsidePitching.com has had 30 Division 1 coaches voting on weekly regional performances of the week. Those same 30 coaches from across the country have been pooled for voting to decided the winner of the Regional Pitcher of the Year Awards.
The Southeast Region has three All Americans, two first team all conference members and the nations leader in strikeouts per nine innings. All three are semi finalists for the Roger Clemens Award. Scott Bitte of Mississippi was named a second team All SEC selection and the nations leader in strikeouts per nine. Senior Joshua Fields of the University of Georgia is the nations leader in saves as well as the winner of the Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year Award. Finally, Miami Freshman Chris Hernandez went 11-0 and was named first team all Atlantic Coast Conference.

University of Mississippi
The right hander was named a second team All SEC selection as he lead the conference in strikeouts with 118. He is a finalist for the Collegiate Baseball Writers Stopper of the Year Award.

The Roger Clemens Award Finalist was also the SEC leader in saves, Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year, Semi Finalist for the Golden Spikes, Semi Finalist for the Golden Spikes Award and held opposing batters to a .092 batting average.

The freshman southpaw was a Roger Clemens Award finalist and helped lead a Hurricanes team to a super regional birth against Arizona. He was named first team All ACC.
